⚠️Everything here is canon-lore, but you are not forced to follow it to create your own oc⚠️♦ LORE & WORLD ♦Beebots live in a cyberpunk-like world where most of the world is technological and wildlife in general is almost non-existent. Extinction was imminent for their kind and to save their own species they created a robotic body which they could upload their minds, know as Beebots. They live in a binary solar system at the edge of a star cluster, being their system's stars an young yellow star and a red giant. All their energy comes from a dyson sphere at the yellow star. As their system is part of a stars cluster itself, the stars are visible both during night and day time. Pure dark nights are not a common sight, as the stars brighten their sky far more than common systems outside of a star cluster, however being at the edge of the cluster itself give them a unique sky view, as half of the sky is way too starry and the other half is a clear dark void with few distant stars. The edge is known as the Stars' Frontier. In some special days each side of the planet is illuminated by each of their system's stars, such event is known as the Red Nights. With their advanced technology they colonized their entire system and many other systems inside the local star cluster, however deep intergalatic travels is not possible by the sheer distance of any other galaxys outside the Stars' Frontier.♦ REPRODUCTION ♦Beebots are not immortal. They can die if their 'brain' gets damaged beyond repair. This is irreversible since their mind data is not stored anywhere else other than their own new mechanical body.Due overpopulation only when an individual dies a new baby is allowed to be 'made'. Babies are made in a laboratory, grown in a special case as they cannot have it on their own artifical bodies. What is born from it is the orginal form of the species, known as Beeonin. They grow as a normal flesh being until adulthood, which their mind will be transferred to their new metallic body as a rite of passage. Before said process their genetic material is collect and stored in case they decide to have a baby of their own.As their home world is beyong polluted and it can barely handle life, keeping your natural fleshy body is forbidden.♦ SOCIETY & FACTIONS ♦Beebots have two main factions in their society: The mechalots and the resistance. The Mechalots are a totalitarian democracy that believes that it is impossible to live without your robotic body in any of the their colonies, forcing any young Beeonin to pass through the ‘brain transference’ rite.Their main goal is to guarantee that any natural life remaining in their home planet and colonies to be preserved as their mechanical bodies doesn’t waste as much energy and resources as their previous fleshy body.Over 80% of the population agrees with this system as life is easier and less dangerous overall. Filled with the promises that the world may someday recover, they are prone to give away any resistance locations. The Resistance is a small group that tries to live with their natural bodies and refuse the ’brain transference’ rite. Living in a solar-punk way trying to preserve the bits of natural life around them.As most of their members are Beeonin, yet some Beebots may join the resistance. They are unable to live in the colonies planets as their fragile flesh bodies wouldn't handle the conditions of the other planets without proper machinary.Life like this is harsh as severe natural disasters strike them frequently and so are the dangers the Mechalots cause to them. Their goal is to survive, return to the natural ways with an eco-friendly life and find a new colony planet that can sustain life away from the Mechalots.
